Re: High Protein Very Low Calorie Intensive Diets

Kara was following the book, and I'm just sorta listening to my body. You can get the book for $40 if you really want it.

I see in your diary that you had 1800 calories today... so if you were to do this you'd try to keep under 900 and most of your calories would be coming from protein. The other calories come from vege's.

I'm pretty sure you can modify stuff where you see fit... at the end of the day you're just trying to consume enough protein so you don't lose any LBM while you're losing the fat.

I've seen some other people that posted on forums whom ate cereals and breads, and another one that had alcohol.

Re: High Protein Very Low Calorie Intensive Diets

Sorry ... I've missed this thread.

Salt - I don't really worry about it. I generally don't eat that much sodium anyway so I just don't really check it when I'm doing an all protein diet.

Lozza - this is pretty similar to the one I did. Maximum protein, minimum everything else. The biggest difference I see is that the program that Lyle promotes has very specific supplement requirements to compensate for the lack of fat in the diet otherwise. Also Lyle promotes nearly unlimited amounts of leafy greens and cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, etc.)

Re: High Protein Very Low Calorie Intensive Diets

Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to try dropping my cals a bit and focus mainly on protein and vegies for awhile. Just going to try and cut rice/bread/muesli for a bit. I don't think that this diet would work very well with my exercise and what chris cooks normally. I'll see how I go for a bit just with dropping the cals
